Discover Durham!

Durham embraces an active lifestyle and laid-back atmosphere and it’s a place where community matters

Visit Mill Avenue

Within a mile radius, find a plethora of things to do in Downtown Tempe. You can feast on international flavors, drink award-winning microbrews, shop locally, view contemporary masterpieces, see a Broadway show, take a hike, paddle on a lake and visit one of the largest universities in the U.S. It is a Downtown unlike any other in Arizona.

Hike "A" Mountain

With its long history as a home to Native Americans, homage to ASU and central location, "A" Mountain, officially named Hayden Butte Preserve, is dear to many. Located on the southeast corner of Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway, Hayden Butte is one of Tempe's most popular outdoor areas and is a quick jaunt to take in a beautiful view of the city.

Bike Around Tempe

In 2019, the League of American Bicyclists designated Tempe a Gold-Level Bicycle-Friendly Community Award winner. Tempe was recognized for safe bike paths and for promoting biking to work and for recreation. For a 40-square-mile city, it’s amazing that there are 217 miles of Tempe bike paths, from Sonoran Desert trails to bike lanes on city streets.

Over half the US population lives within an hour’s flight of Durham! RDU has direct flights to over 60 cities across the country, meaning getting to the Summit will be a breeze!
