Political Associate
Conor Heffernan was introduced to politics as a child accompanying his father as he block-walked for then-Senator Barack Obama. Later, Conor would become a Senior Organizer and Co-Founder of the March For Our Lives in Austin, Texas.
Conor then attended George Washington University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Political Science. During his time at GW, Conor served as an intern in the Congressional Offices of Congressmen Lloyd Doggett and Bobby Rush. He would also spend the fall of 2020 away from school where he helped re-elect Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher.
Conor has been a firm believer in empowering communities by helping their local elected leaders since he was an intern for the Texas Municipal League in 2017. While working with TML, he saw firsthand the important work that Municipal Officials do. Conor knows that this work, which is often underreported or ignored, can be the most important to help enact real progress.
