Executive Director
Cheyenne is a seasoned political operative who has spent the last decade building infrastructure within the Democratic Party. She comes to DMO from the State Party Advancement Network (SPAN), a national donor table that seeks to connect progressive donors with State Democratic Parties. As SPAN’s Executive Director, Cheyenne helped to drive donor investments in order to strengthen state parties, while also advising states on the development and implementation of programs that supported candidates at all levels. Prior to SPAN, Cheyenne was the National Director of the Best Practices Institute (BPI), the shared training department of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Association of State Democratic Committees (ASDC). In her role as BPI National Director, Cheyenne traveled the country training Democratic staff, candidates, and volunteers on the various strategies and skills necessary to win campaigns up and down the ballot, and to build strong organizational infrastructure throughout all levels of the Democratic Party. Before the DNC, Cheyenne served in a variety of State Democratic Party leadership roles in Kansas, including Interim/Deputy Executive Director, Coordinated Campaign Director, Political Director, Data Director, Field Director, and Voter Protection Director. Cheyenne graduated from the University of Kansas with degrees in political science, American studies, and history.
