Angela Rogensues currently serves as President of Ignition Media Group which is a Detroit-based full-service brand and marketing agency with a strong emphasis on our strategic matchmaking practice and event curation and management. Prior to joining Ignition in 2020, Rogensues served as the Executive Director for Playworks Michigan. She joined the organization in 2012, increasing fundraising revenue by 172 percent and spearheaded two multi-year, multi-region grants totaling $5.6 million, one of which was the largest single grant secured by an Executive Director in the organization’s 24-year history.

Rogensues is currently a board member and President of the Detroit Institute of Arts Founder’s Junior Council; State of Michigan Chair, National Board Member and National Labor Council Chair of the Democratic Municipal Officials; board member at large for 4Paws1Heart; and an elected City Council member in Warren, Michigan; the third largest city in Michigan. She is currently the youngest on City Council and one of only two women. Rogensues is an active member on many City of Warren’s commissions and committees including the Animal Welfare and Historical Commissions, the Environmental Action Committee, and most notably as a trustee on the General Employee Retirements System ensuring the wise investment of nearly $200MM in pension and health trust funds.

Rogensues was named a Crain’s Detroit Business 40 Under 40, Crain’s Detroit Business Notable Women in Education Leadership, and a Corp! Magazine Most Valuable Professional. Rogensues holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree from DePaul University.
