She was born on July 27, 1973, raised and still lives in the Greenview area of Columbia, SC and graduated from Benedict College in 1998 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. Angela is a product of Richland School District One schools, graduated from W.J. Angela has 35 years of work experience in customer service and retail, constituent services for state and local agencies, including the Department of Social Services, Department of Health and Human Services and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of SC. She also served as a City of Columbia employee at the Charles R. Drew Wellness Center and her alma mater, Benedict College. Her retail experience includes one of her favorite jobs at Sunglass Hut International, where she consistently led the entire district in sales and won recognition each quarter. But her most rewarding job, was that of an entrepreneur. She and her sister partnered to run a flavored popcorn and ice cream shop, Kernels & Kreme, LLC in Columbia. Through her years of public service within her community, Angela has volunteered for mentoring programs to Richland District One students and college scholarship recipients.

She was a vital member of the caretaking team that provided loving care and quality of life treatment to “Ms. Emily” for 4 years, until her condition began its decline. “Ms. Emily” bid eternal, loving farewell to her forever family and friends on Thursday, September 19, 2019.

Angela enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, assembling jigsaw puzzles, and horseback riding. Her favorite movies are anything action, Marvel or DC. And she is an avid lover of all animals.
